Shrungagiri Sri Shanmukha temple is located in Rajarajeshwari Nagar town of bangalore district. The temple is situated at a height of 250 feet from the ground level. About 1,30,000 sq.feet of land was given to Sringeri Mutt for this construction of this temple. Sringeri Sri Sri Bharathi Theertha Swamiji has said, that Lord Murugan has appeared in his dream and told to construct Sri Murugan temple at this place and told Dr.R.Arunachalam sir should build this temple and further the Swamiji has blessed him and said, this temple will become famous in the state of Karnataka in future.
SUBRAMANIYA SWAMY WITH SRI VALLI & SRI DEVASENA
The temple is built on rock about 130 feet from the top of the hill. with 90 feet diameter and 270 feet circumference.
Also this temple has been built in an unique way, that the 6 faces of lord murugan will form a tower of the temple on a 6 pillars with cross ventilation in star design.
Steel Structure
Around 3000 crystals were placed on top of this tower to a height of 65 feet. one crystal approximately weighs to 6 kg. This crystal dome structure has 9 tons of weight. which supports (3000 crystals X 6 kg = 18 tons).
Night View
Each crystal is powered by 27 watts of LED lights. During night time this crystal dome is designed in such way to give colorful light in around 150 patterns. Apart from that, this crystal dome also reveals many colors due to reflection of sunlight at the day time.
